Advisory Committees
In addition to citizen input, the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization for the Gainesville Urbanized Area also receives comments and recommendations from three standing committees – the Technical Advisory Committee, the Citizens Advisory Committee, and the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board.
Technical Advisory Committee
The Technical Advisory Committee consists of local, regional, and state agency representatives. The Committee reviews transportation plans and programs from a technical perspective and makes recommendations to the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization for the Gainesville Urbanized Area.
Citizens Advisory Committee
The Citizens Advisory Committee consists of citizen volunteers. The Committee reviews transportation plans and programs from a citizen perspective and makes recommendations to the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization for the Gainesville Urbanized Area. Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board
The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board consists of citizen volunteers who have an interest in bicycle and pedestrian issues. The Board reviews transportation plans and programs from a bicyclist and pedestrian perspective and makes recommendations to the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization for the Gainesville Urbanized Area.
