The Council is comprised of members from local governments and gubernatorial appointees. The officers of the Council include the Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Immediate Past Chair. The staff of the Council is responsible for implementing the work program of the Council.
The North Central Florida Region includes 12 counties and 40 incorporated municipalities in the north-central portion of Florida containing nearly 8,000 square miles of area. The population of the region is 587,781.
Council publications include an annual report highlighting activities completed each year, an overall program design outlining work program tasks and a regional directory listing local, regional, state and federal officials.
Council documents include the interlocal agreement creating the Council; bylaws establishing organizational procedures; voluntary dispute resolution process for planning, growth management and other other issues among local government; and annual regulatory plan listing any administrative rule adoption and amendments.
